Carol is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™, and has been a consultant to Business and professional clients for over 26 years. She has co-authored three books with her financial partners the latest being one sharing the experiences of their clients as they worked to become comfortable with wealth and create clarity, confidence and contentment around their money.
Carol has served on numerous Non-Profit and Professional Boards over the years and is an advocate of the Arts, particularly in education. In addition to her financial advisory firm Carol started a technology firm called ERC Systems, which installs cost effective on-line directories of local Artists, Performers and Film Professionals for Arts Agencies nationwide. She was invited to serve on the National Association of Securities Dealers advisory committee (now FINRA). The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority oversees the entire securities industry in the United States. She served two terms on this committee from 2001-2005. Carol was President of the Sacramento Financial Planners Association in 1989. She arranged to have ex-President Gerald Ford speak at the Sacramento industry conference in her Presidential year.
Carol is a familiar voice in the media as she has hosted shows and provided financial reports for KFBK News Radio, KVIE Public Television , KCRA Channel 3, KVOR Channel 13 and both the Sacramento Bee and Sacramento Business Journal. She travels regularly to Africa and takes groups there to contribute time and money to the needs of African people. Carol’s husband Steve Kuhn owns and runs a private marina in Sacramento.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE: Past President, International Association for Financial Planning, Sacramento Chapter; Past President, Western Pension & Benefits Conference; Chair, California Musical Theatre Board & Sacramento Arts &, Business Council; Served on the Boards of Sacramento Medical Foundation’s Blood Center, Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival, Student Buddy Organization, and Point West Rotary. Currently she serves on the Board of the Capital Public Radio. In 2009, Carol created the African Hope Fund, a foundation building schools in Zambia and serves as CEO of that organization.
